Moreton Bay Pipe Relining Project

Reline Solutions recently undertook a stormwater rehabilitation project for the Moreton Bay Regional Council. After a thorough pipe inspection using our crawler drain camera, it was decided that the stormwater pipe had several holes forming as well as numerous hairline cracks etc. It was just a matter of time before a problem occurred.

The pipe relining project stats

  • 600mm Reinforced Concrete Stormwater Pipe
  • 107m in length
  • Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) UV Liner

The Pipe Relining Process

After thoroughly inspecting the stormwater pipe and ensuring it was free of any debris, we cleaned the surface using our Water Jetter. After this, we pulled through the GFRP Liner and cured this in place using a special UV lighting rig. This GFRP Liner is from Reline Europe and has an engineered design life of 50 years (fully tested). It also has the added benefit of adding structural integrity to the existing stormwater pipe.

This stormwater pipe was relined in 2 sections by going upstream and then downstream from the main access point; therefore no digging. Find out more about Pipe Relining .
